Base Compensation: $55-$65K
Company supplies metal components to other industries. They supply customers who manufacture automobiles, construction machinery, office furniture, store fixtures, commercial refrigeration products, military vehicles, and other industries that use metal components. They supply components finished to the stage of want, when and where worldwide.
They are looking for a Quality Engineer with an emphasis on Fabrication / Machining.
Job Description:
- A member of the Corporate Quality Team.
- Reports to the Corporate Quality Manager.
- Strong dotted line responsibility to the Plant ManagerFunctional Responsibilities.
- Responsible for TS-16949 audits at the plant level.
- Responsible for coordinating and maintaining all plant level quality.
- Responsible for all plant level quality corrective and preventative actions.
- Responsible for capability studies.
- Responsible for gage R&R studies.
- Responsible for assisting with new project launches.
- Responsible for process improvement.
- Responsible for Statistical Process Control (SPC) submissions.
- Responsible for PPAP submissionsï
- Responsible for FMEA's.
- Responsible for APQ.
- Responsible for customer relations.
- Responsible for other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study.
A CQE and / or CQA certification is a plus.
Experience:
Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in an automotive metal stamping / robotic, MIG, and resistance welding / assembly environment.
